Scholarships for HIV+ and LGBTQ Students

Are you a student looking for financial support? Below are scholarships you can apply to:

  1. The eQuality Scholarship Collaborative awards scholarships honor and encourage California students for their service to the lesbian/gay/bisexual/transgender community. $6000 scholarships that may be used for post-secondary education at accredited institutions – colleges, universities, and trade schools.   2. STDCheck.com sponsors scholarships to HIV+ students and they range from $250 to $5000. Must submit transcripts and 400 word essay; apply here- https://www.stdcheck.com/scholarship-application.php.

  3. The Capital City AIDS Fund sponsors the Helen Veress-Scholarship Fund is designed to help young people living with HIV/AIDS attend college and pursue a two-year, four-year or graduate degree. (First time awards are $1500). Read more here: https://www.capcityaidsfund.org/scholarships.html.

  4. The HIV League Scholarships for full-time or part time students – the deadline for 2019 has already passed, but keep an eye out for next year! http://www.hivleague.org/scholarship.
  5. LifeWorks: for high school seniors and undergraduate college students. Scholarships include ones focused on STEM education and NBC media. The deadline for 2019 has passed but keep an eye out for next year! https://lifeworksla.org/support-education/scholarships

  6. Point Foundation Scholarship: the National LGBTQ Scholarship Fund is for students enrolled at an accredited American University. The deadline has passed for 2019 but check back in for next year.   7. Lambda Alumni (USC/UCLA): if enrolled at either university, you can get a scholarship from the Lambda alumni association for accomplished LGBT students.
